Watch: a food photo, then video and posts

A studio shot from a dish photo, a short video of it, then the caption and the schedule.

When FoodShot is the better pick

  • You only need food photos, and you’ll post them yourself.
  • You want a phone app: FoodShot has iOS and Android apps; FoodPerfect is a web app.
  • You need large files straight away (2K) or more preset looks (200+).
  • You make a few photos a month: FoodShot’s Starter is $15 a month, or $9 billed yearly.

When FoodPerfect is the better pick

  • You want the posts to go out, not just the photos: captions in your voice, a calendar, publishing to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and nine more platforms.
  • You want video, promo posters and menu designs from the same dish photo.
  • You want comments and DMs answered: AI drafts the replies, you approve or let autopilot take the routine ones.
  • You use an AI assistant: the FoodPerfect MCP server lets Claude, Cursor or Codex create and schedule posts, with publishing waiting for your approval.

Price per photo, worked out

FoodShot sells credits, and says one credit is about one image. From its published prices: $0.60 a credit on Starter monthly, $0.45 on Business, $0.40 on Scale; billed yearly, $0.36, $0.27 and about $0.24. Credits don’t roll over. In its iOS app, FoodShot also sells Pro at $9.99 a week or $149.99 a year and credit packs from $7.99 for 10 (App Store listing).

FoodPerfect charges from a dollar balance: an image costs $0.24 on Starter ($29 a month), $0.20 on Growth ($79) and $0.15 on Scale ($159), and the same balance pays for posts, designs, videos and replies. Strategy, scheduling and publishing are included. See all plans.

Does FoodShot schedule or publish posts?
