How it works

Add a dish and describe it. Name it and say what's in it and how it's served: “Shakshuka in a small cast-iron pan, feta, parsley, toasted sourdough.”
Pick a template. Each one sets the light, props and scene: sunny café table, bold colour, dark and moody, and more.
Generate. Add a note for all dishes if you like (“add steam”), choose square, portrait or landscape, and click Generate.

When to generate, and when to use your own photo

A generated image is the dish as you described it. That makes it useful for things that don't exist on a plate yet:

a new special you want to announce before launch day,
a seasonal dish while the recipe is still being tested,
a catering idea, an event menu or a post about an ingredient.

Once the dish is on your menu, guests expect what they see. Snap the real plate with your phone and use AI food photography instead: it keeps your actual dish and only changes the light and scene.

FoodPerfect has 607 food photo templates, from bright and casual to moody, pop-art or crystal-clean. Choose Exact copy to place the dish into the template's scene, or Similar but unique for a new photo in the template's look. You can also upload a reference photo of your own.

Questions

Do I need a photo of the dish?

No. Describe the dish in words (what's in it and how it's plated) and FoodPerfect creates it. If you do have a phone photo, add it instead and the result keeps your real dish.

Can I use the images on my menu?

They are AI images of a dish as you described it. Guests expect the plate they get, so once a dish is on the menu, a photo of the real plate is the better choice.

What sizes do I get?

Square, portrait or landscape. You pick the shape before you generate.

Can I change the result?

Yes. Change any part with a text prompt, remove the background, or upscale the image 2x.
